The Power of Hippotherapy in Action!

At the Center for Disabilities and Development, we know that therapy doesn’t always happen in a clinic—and sometimes, the best “co-therapist” has four legs!

Hippotherapy uses the natural movement of a horse to support physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy goals. 

In this moment, one of our incredible patients is working on coordination, balance, speech, and motor planning—while shooting hoops from horseback! 

This powerful, fun, and evidence-based approach is made possible through our amazing partnership with Miracles In Motion Therapeutic Equestrian Ctr. in Swisher, Iowa.
